I was educated in Aberdeen. I had an Interior Design Practice in Glasgow, but decided that I preferred painting canvases to houses. For the past six years I have been the Course Co-ordinator and tutor for the Seasons Art Classes in Scotland and have taught classes in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Stirling and Perth. I love sharing knowledge with people people who are interested in learning to draw and paint. When not teaching, I work from my studio in stunning Perthshire
Working predominantly in oils, but I also use acrlyics, pastels, gold leaf, and water colours.
I am inspired by people, places and animals. I love atmospheric or dramatic images and cannot resist a pop of cerise pink!
My joyful, quirky landscapes are often inspired by Carole Kirkwood, the BBC weather forecaster and her descriptions of the weather.
I have always loved observing and painting skies, and that is evident on my landscapes and seascapes. My other passion is figurative work, whether that is people or animals depends on what captures my imagination.

Art Classes by Karenina - I teach art classes to adults in Perth, both complete beginners and people with more experience. The classes are three hours long, one day per week and last for 6 weeks. A variety of materials are used: pencils, pastels, water colours, gouache, acrylics, pen and ink to name but a few. Each six week block is entirely different. The classes are held at the New County hotel in the centre of Perth. There are morning and afternoon classes.
Private tuition is also available either one to one, or small groups.
